Alexandrina Milkshake Series
Our Cherry Ripe Milkshake can be served chilled in a fancy glass for an after dinner treat on any evening, or use an insulated tumbler if you are off to the beach for a morning walk. You may booze-it-up with your South Australian spirit of choice, but it's also delicious simply served with shaved cherry ripe chocolate bar on top.
ALEXANDRINA CHERRY RIPE MILKSHAKE
Groundwork – 10 minutes of preparation time
Serves 2
Elements
For the Milkshake
350 ml Alexandrina Pure Jersey Full Cream Milk, chilled
250 g ice
100 g cherries, pitted (*you may use frozen cherries)
50-60 g cacao powder
50-60 g desiccated coconut
For the Glass Garnish
10 ml cherry syrup - extra to drizzle the glass
10g shaved cherry ripe chocolate bar
Technique
place the ice into the blender of choice, pour the Alexandrina Milk on top of the ice, then add the cherry pieces, and place the coconut over the other ingredients. Place the lid of the blender on top and blend on a medium setting for 90 seconds.
rotate the glass and pour a little cherry syrup topping around the rim of the glass. Immediately afterwards pour the milkshake the into chosen glasses and serve with a little freshly grated cherry ripe chocolate bar over the top of each glass.
