Alexandrina Iced Coconut and Chocolate Milkshake
Alexandrina Milkshake Series
Our Alexandrina Iced Coconut and Chocolate Milkshake is made with Alexandrina Full Cream Pure Jersey Milk, it can be served chilled in a fancy glass for an after dinner treat on any evening, or use an insulated tumbler if you are off for an autumnal morning walk. For the evening, you may booze-it-up with your South Australian spirit of choice, but it is also delicious simply served with a few teaspoons of shaved coconut pieces on the side of the saucer. Our Iced Coconut and Chocolate Milkshake is best served to someone sitting by the pool, and is a must do for afternoon tea for family members on school holidays.
ALEXANDRINA ICED COCONUT AND CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE
Groundwork – 10 minutes of preparation time
Serves 2
Elements
For the Milkshake
350 ml Alexandrina Pure Jersey Full Cream Milk, chilled
250 g ice (or you can use frozen milk!)
50-60 g of cocao
50-60 ml coconut powder
50-60 ml sweetener – you could use or maple syrup, vanilla topping syrup or caramel topping syrup
For the Saucer / Glass Garnish
2 teaspoons of coconut flakes
Technique
place the ice into the blender of choice, pour the Alexandrina Milk on top of the ice, spoon in the coconut powder and cocao, and then pour your sweetener of choice. Place the lid of the blender on top and blend on a medium setting for 90 seconds. Place the garnish on the saucer. Immediately afterwards pour the milkshake into the chosen glasses and serve immediately.
We actually just dropped the shaved coconut pieces into the milkshake, but we didn't use a straw! They are so tasty!
