Alexandrina Iced Honeycomb Milkshake
Alexandrina Milkshake Series
Our Iced Honeycomb Milkshake is made with Alexandrina Full Cream Pure Jersey Milk, it can be served chilled in a fancy glass for an after dinner treat on any evening, or use an insulated tumbler if you are off for an autumnal morning walk. You may booze-it-up with your South Australian spirit of choice, but it is also delicious simply served with a chuck of honeycomb on the side of the glass. Our Iced Honeycomb Milkshake is best served to someone sitting by the pool, and is a must do for afternoon tea for family members on school holidays.
ALEXANDRINA ICED HONEYCOMB MILKSHAKE
Groundwork – 10 minutes of preparation time
Serves 2
Elements
For the Milkshake
350 ml Alexandrina Pure Jersey Full Cream Milk, chilled
250 g ice
50-60 g of chopped Honeycomb Confectionary chunks (*you may use the back of a wooden spoon to crush)
50-60 ml Local Honey
50-60 ml Saunders’ Malt *extract of roasted malted barley
For the Saucer / Glass Garnish
2-4 chucks of Honeycomb
Technique
place the ice into the blender of choice, pour the Alexandrina Milk on top of the ice, pour the local honey, and Saunders’ Malt, then add the crushed honeycomb pieces over the other ingredients. Place the lid of the blender on top and blend on a medium setting for 90 seconds. Place the garnish on the saucers. Immediately afterwards pour the milkshake into the chosen glasses and serve.
