Alexandrina Bananas in Pyjamas Milkshake
Alexandrina Milkshake Series
Our Alexandrina Bananas in Pyjamas Milkshake is made with Alexandrina Full Cream Pure Jersey Milk, it can be served chilled in a fancy glass for an after dinner treat on any evening, or use an insulated tumbler if you are off to the beach for a morning walk. You may booze-it-up with your South Australian spirit of choice, but it is also delicious simply served with banana chips on the side of the glass. Our Bananas in Pyjamas Milkshake is best served to someone sitting by the pool, and is a must do for morning tea for the family on school holidays.
ALEXANDRINA BANANAS IN PYJAMAS MILKSHAKE
Groundwork – 10 minutes of preparation time
Serves 2
Elements
For the Milkshake
350 ml Alexandrina Pure Jersey Full Cream Milk, chilled
250 g ice
100 g banana, chunks or roughly 2cm slices (*you may use frozen bananas)
50-60 ml maple syrup
50-60 gm malted powder
For the Glass Garnish
2-4 banana chips, as a snack!
Technique
place the ice into the blender of choice, pour the Alexandrina Milk on top of the ice, then add the banana pieces, pour the maple syrup over the banana, then place the malt powder over the other ingredients. Place the lid of the blender on top and blend on a medium setting for 90 seconds. Place the banana chips on a saucer. Immediately afterwards pour the milkshake the into chosen glasses and serve.
