Alexandrina Milkshake Series
Looking for a delicious chocolate milkshake with a crisp, minty hit?
Our Alexandrina Chopped Frog Milkshake is made with Alexandrina Full Cream Pure Jersey Milk, it can be served chilled in a fancy glass for an after dinner treat on any evening, or use an insulated tumbler if you are off to the beach for a morning walk. You may booze-it-up with your South Australian spirit of choice, but it is also delicious simply served with mint chocolate on the side of the glass. Our Alexandrina Chopped Frog Milkshake is best served to someone sitting by the pool, and is a must do for morning tea for the family on school holidays.
ALEXANDRINA CHOPPED FROG MILKSHAKE
Groundwork – 10 minutes of preparation time
Serves 2
Elements
For the Milkshake
350 ml Alexandrina Pure Jersey Full Cream Milk, chilled
250 g ice
35g Peppermint Crisp Chocolate, chunks of roughly 1cm slices
50-60 ml chocolate topping
50-60 ml sweetener
For inside the Glass Garnish
50-60 ml pureed raspberry
For outside the Glass Garnish
2-4 Peppermint Crisp Chocolate chucks, as a snack!
Technique
place the ice into the blender of choice, pour the Alexandrina Milk on top of the ice, then add the peppermint crisp pieces, pour over the chocolate topping, then pour the sweetener over the other ingredients. Place the lid of the blender on top and blend on a medium setting for 90 seconds. Place the peppermint crisp onto a saucer. Immediately afterwards pour the milkshake the into chosen glasses, swirl a small amount of raspberry puree into the top of the milkshake and serve.
Please note there is a little bit of a knack to swirling a small amount of raspberry puree into the top of the milkshake, make sure you practice a few times before a dinner party!
